Job Description

Overview

The Senior Chemist at Talent Software Services is responsible for developing, characterizing, and validating medical device products for venous disease. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams in R&D, Manufacturing, and Quality, focusing on advanced technologies and new therapy introductions.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide chemistry technical support to existing and emerging products.
  • Independently plan and execute projects from design through implementation.
  • Conduct exploratory research to generate new knowledge and potential products.
  • Develop research proposals for new or improved products and processes.
  • Perform sample preparation, testing, and data generation using analytical instruments.
  • Lead or participate in the development and qualification of new analytical technologies.
  • Perform analytical test method development, transfer, and validation.
  • Conduct statistical analysis and interpretation of experimental data.
  • Author technical protocols, reports, and presentations.
  • Drive continuous improvement of processes, systems, and products.
  • Mentor less-experienced professionals and provide training.

Required skills

  • Baccalaureate degree with 4 years of relevant experience OR Master's degree with 2 years OR PhD with 0 years of experien
  • Advanced degree in chemistry or related field is preferred.
  • 5 years of experience in R&D within medical devices or pharmaceutical industries.
  • Expertise in analytical test method development and validation.
  • Experience in formulation and testing with adhesives, preferably cyanoacrylates.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Solid oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience managing and prioritizing multiple tasks.
  • Moderate and complex data analysis skills using statistical techniques.
  • Experience with chromatography software like Empower and MassHunter.
  • Familiarity with electronic documentation software, e.g., MAP, Agile.
