Overview

The Sr. Category Manager - Digital at Ace Hardware Corporation will lead category management and optimization of marketing technology platforms that enhance digital engagement and customer experience. This role involves collaboration with Marketing, Digital, and IT teams to evaluate technologies, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance in data handling, while also driving ROI across the MarTech ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide indirect leadership and build relationships across various teams.
  • Establish targets and strategies for MarTech spend management.
  • Develop and manage governance structures for MarTech spend.
  • Lead category initiatives and prioritize projects based on organizational objectives.
  • Oversee risk management activities and develop supplier risk profiles.
  • Adopt AI tools to enhance operational efficiency in procurement.
  • Develop performance metrics for suppliers and forecast ongoing savings.
  • Consolidate stakeholder requirements and manage RFI and RFP processes.
  • Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews with suppliers to evaluate performance.
  • Communicate governance performance and updates to stakeholders.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 7+ years in category management or procurement roles.
  • Demonstrated experience in leadership and people management.
  • Advanced strategic thinking and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills with a focus on risk minimization.
  • Experience in sourcing methodologies and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Deep knowledge of supplier management and service level definition.
  • Proficient in data analysis using productivity tools and sourcing systems.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
