Overview

dv01 is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to enhance transparency in the structured finance market. This role involves developing a SaaS platform that enables financial institutions to efficiently analyze data while ensuring a solid understanding of the financial industry's dynamics.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop REST API and GraphQL endpoints to extract insights from datasets
  • Work with a modern stack including Kotlin, Spring Boot, Scala, and Play
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, design, data engineering, and front-end engineers
  • Ensure long-term maintainability and performance of systems
  • Architect data-driven products with complex workflows

Required skills

  • 6+ years of engineering experience
  • Strong in SQL and backend database understanding
  • Experience with Kotlin, Spring Boot, Scala, REST API, GraphQL
  • Familiarity with financial concepts, structured products, and data analysis
  • Experience with cloud services like Google Cloud Platform and Google BigQuery
  • Experience with analytics tools such as Spark, R, or Pandas
  • Familiarity with frontend technologies like React, Redux, and Node.js
