Job Description

Overview

As a Sr. Associate in Operations Engineering at L3Harris, you will support the Manufacturing Engineering - Systems team focused on ensuring the highest quality of WESCAM products. This role combines project management with technical expertise, engaging in hands-on development to improve processes and product validation in a defense technology environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and participate in New Product Introduction (NPI) and Sustaining activities
  • Collaborate with Design Engineering on new systems processes and troubleshooting
  • Perform hands-on development to stabilize validation processes for deliverable products
  • Maintain manufacturing processes including Acceptance Test Procedure (ATP) and environmental screenings
  • Design requirements for tooling, test equipment and automation
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives using Design for Manufacturability and Six Sigma principles
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for system failures
  • Review and implement change requests from Design Engineering and Production
  • Act as a backup contact for Manufacturing Engineers on the frontline support
  • Analyze business rationale for capital expenditures

  • Bachelor's degree and relevant work experience, or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree
