Job Description

Overview

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Sr. Associate in Operations Engineering, Systems to support the Manufacturing Engineering - Systems team in Waterdown, Ontario. This role focuses on ensuring the highest quality of WESCAM products through robust project management and technical expertise in system interactions between hardware, software, and firmware.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and participate in New Product Introduction (NPI) and Sustaining activities.
  • Collaborate with Design Engineering for system process development and troubleshooting.
  • Conduct hands-on development to stabilize validation processes for products.
  • Maintain manufacturing processes, including Acceptance Test Procedure and Environmental Stress Screening.
  • Design requirements for tooling, test equipment, and automation.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma principles.
  • Direct technical responses to system failures in various domains.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Review change requests from Design Engineering and Production teams.
  • Act as a backup point of contact for frontline support in manufacturing.
