Job Description

Overview

The Sr. Associate, Manufacturing Engineering, Projects role at L3Harris is focused on enhancing product quality, reliability, and manufacturability of MX products. This intermediate-level position involves collaborating within cross-functional teams to support New Product Introduction and ongoing operations, while identifying process improvements and driving operational performance.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain manufacturing processes and procedures for MX products
  • Create and update PFMEA, control plans, SPC strategies, tooling, and test procedures
  • Lead or support moderately complex mechanical projects within Operations Engineering
  • Identify gaps to improve product and process performance
  • Monitor key performance metrics and implement process improvements
  • Collaborate effectively across Engineering, Production, and Quality teams
  • Contribute to technology and capital equipment planning

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience, or 0 to 2 years with a graduate degree
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing principles
  • Familiarity with SolidWorks, Composer, AutoCAD, or MES systems
  • AS9100 experience
  • Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent experience
  • PMP or P.Eng designation
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics
  • Strong written and verbal technical communication skills
