Job Description

Overview

The Sr. Associate, Manufacturing Engineering, Frontline role at L3Harris Technologies is a pivotal position directly supporting a production cell team. The focus is on ensuring quality, reliability, and on-time delivery while troubleshooting and resolving manufacturing issues in real time. This role emphasizes collaboration and ownership, requiring the ability to manage moderately complex manufacturing challenges with increasing autonomy.

Key responsibilities

  • Act as the primary Manufacturing Engineering contact for a production cell team
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electro-mechanical manufacturing issues in real time
  • Support daily production activities and quality issue resolution
  • Participate in daily MRB meetings and support NCR disposition and closure
  • Perform structured root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing processes and procedures
  • Create and update PFMEA, control plans, and tooling
  • Review engineering and production change requests
  • Identify inefficiencies and support Lean initiatives
  • Collaborate closely with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams

Required skills

  • Experience in manufacturing engineering within a high-tech assembly environment
  • Knowledge of electro-mechanical manufacturing and process engineering
  • Proven troubleshooting skills for production issues
  • Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics
  • Strong verbal and written technical communication skills
  • Experience with SolidWorks, Composer, AutoCAD, or MES systems
  • Lean / Six Sigma Green Belt (or equivalent experience)
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in engineering
