Job Description

Overview

The Sr Assembler 1 position at bioMerieux involves performing assembly, refurbishment, subassembly, and testing of electrical and mechanical components to ensure quality standards and production schedules are met. This role supports Instrument Manufacturing and requires a high school diploma or equivalent, as well as over two years of manufacturing experience, preferably in electromechanical assembly.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist in set-up on all stations and benches as assigned
  • Check documentation for correctness and completeness
  • Perform all production tasks per schedule according to procedures
  • Document necessary information on DHR forms adhering to Good Documentation Practices
  • Maintain physical separation of lots using proper equipment
  • Clean and organize work area before, during, and after production runs
  • Train coworkers in correct processes, procedures, and machine operation
  • Assist with end-of-shift or end-of-day shutdown of equipment
  • Process nonconforming products according to NCMR instructions
  • Perform all work in compliance with company quality procedures and standards
  • Complete other assigned duties as needed

Required skills

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
  • 2+ years of manufacturing experience
  • Assembly of electromechanical parts
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality work
  • Time management skills to balance priorities and meet deadlines
  • Troubleshooting abilities to resolve issues efficiently
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and assembly procedures
  • Basic math skills
