Job Description

Overview

The Sr Assembler 1 role at bioMerieux in Fenton, Missouri involves performing assembly, refurbishment, subassembly, and testing of electrical and mechanical components to meet quality standards and production schedules. The position requires mentoring and training of others, supporting Instrument Manufacturing with essential manufacturing experience.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform assembly and testing of electromechanical components
  • Document necessary information following Good Documentation Practices
  • Assist in the setup of workstations as assigned
  • Maintain physical separation of lots during production
  • Clean and organize the work area before, during, and after production runs
  • Train coworkers on correct processes and procedures
  • Assist with end-of-shift equipment shutdown
  • Process nonconforming products per NCMR instructions
  • Comply with company quality procedures and standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required skills

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • 2+ years of manufacturing experience
  • Experience with assembly of electromechanical parts
  • Detail orientation and high-quality work
  • Time management skills
  • Problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams
