Job Description

Overview

The Sr Assembler 1 role at bioMérieux involves performing assembly, refurbishment, and testing functions for electrical and mechanical components while ensuring adherence to quality standards and production schedules. The position requires expertise in electromechanical assembly and entails providing mentor training to coworkers. This full-time role operates on a Monday to Friday schedule from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm in Valley Park, Missouri.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist in set-up on all stations and benches as assigned
  • Check documentation for accuracy including lot#, product name, and date
  • Perform production tasks per schedule as per procedures
  • Document necessary information on DHR forms following Good Documentation Practices
  • Maintain physical separation of lots using separation and segregation practices
  • Clean and organize work area before, during, and after production runs
  • Help train coworkers in correct processes, procedures, and machine operation
  • Assist with end-of-shift or end-of-day shutdown including equipment shut down
  • Process nonconforming products according to NCMR instructions
  • Perform all work in compliance with company quality procedures and standards
  • Perform other assigned duties

Required skills

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • 2+ years of manufacturing experience
  • Assembly of electromechanical parts preferred
  • Detail orientation to complete tasks without errors

  • Capacity to collaborate across teams
  • Ability to perform advanced math
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and assembly procedures
