Job Description

Overview

The Sr Assembler 1 position at bioMerieux involves performing assembly, refurbishment, subassembly, and testing of electrical and mechanical components to meet quality standards and production schedules. Candidates should have at least 2 years of manufacturing experience and be comfortable providing mentorship to peers.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform assembly and testing of electromechanical components
  • Document all necessary information following Good Documentation Practices
  • Maintain physical separation of production lots
  • Clean and organize work areas before, during, and after production runs
  • Train coworkers on processes, procedures, and machine operations
  • Assist with end-of-shift shutdown procedures
  • Process nonconforming products according to company instructions
  • Ensure compliance with company quality procedures and standards

Required skills

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • 2+ years of manufacturing experience
  • Electromechanical assembly experience preferred
  • Detail-oriented with strong time management skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues and resolve problems
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and assembly procedures
  • Basic math skills
