Job Description

Overview

The Sr Assembler 1 at bioMerieux will perform assembly, refurbishment, subassembly, and testing of electrical and mechanical components to meet production schedules and quality standards. This role includes mentoring colleagues and requires relevant manufacturing experience, specifically in electromechanical assembly.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform assembly and testing of components and final products
  • Document necessary information according to Good Documentation Practices
  • Maintain physical separation of lots during production
  • Train coworkers in correct processes and machine operation
  • Clean and organize work area before, during, and after production runs
  • Assist with daily shutdown processes and nonconforming product handling
  • Complete all tasks while complying with company quality procedures

Required skills

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • 2+ years of manufacturing experience
  • Experience in assembly of electromechanical parts preferred
  • Detail orientation and ability to produce high-quality work
  • Time management skills
  • Troubleshooting abilities
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics
  • Ability to perform advanced math
