Job Description

Overview

The Sr Assembler 1 position at bioMérieux involves the assembly, refurbishment, and testing of electrical and mechanical components to meet quality standards and production schedules. This role also includes providing mentorship and training to other employees and is essential in supporting Instrument Manufacturing. Candidates should have at least 2 years of manufacturing experience, preferably with electromechanical parts.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform assembly and testing of electrical and mechanical components
  • Assist in set-up on all stations and benches as assigned
  • Check documentation for accuracy and completeness
  • Document necessary information on DHR forms following Good Documentation Practices
  • Maintain physical separation of lots using appropriate practices and equipment
  • Clean and organize the work area before, during, and after production runs
  • Train coworkers in correct processes and machine operation
  • Assist with end-of-shift equipment shutdown procedures
  • Process nonconforming products according to instructions
  • Comply with company quality procedures and standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required skills

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
  • 2+ years of manufacturing experience
  • Electromechanical assembly experience preferred
  • Detail-oriented with strong time management skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues efficiently
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively
