Job Description

Overview

The Sr Assembler 1 at bioMerieux plays a critical role in the assembly, refurbishment, and testing of electrical and mechanical components to ensure quality standards and production schedules are met. This position requires mentoring abilities and supports the Instrument Manufacturing operations, requiring a minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform assembly, refurbishment, subassembly, and testing of components and final products
  • Assist in the set-up of all stations and benches
  • Check documentation for accuracy and completeness
  • Document all necessary information according to Good Documentation Practices
  • Maintain physical separation of production lots
  • Clean and organize work area before, during, and after production runs
  • Train coworkers on processes, procedures, and equipment operation
  • Assist with the end-of-shift or end-of-day equipment shutdown
  • Process nonconforming products according to instructions
  • Perform work in compliance with quality procedures and standards
  • Execute other assigned duties
