Job Description

Overview

The Sr Assembler 1 role at bioMerieux involves performing assembly, refurbishment, and testing of electrical and mechanical components while ensuring compliance with quality standards. The position includes providing mentor training to team members and collaborating with logistics and suppliers to enhance operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform medium complexity manufacturing tasks with attention to quality standards
  • Support logistics for timely delivery of materials and efficient operations
  • Contribute to inventory management to minimize production disruptions
  • Monitor production processes, maintaining quality control and safety compliance
  • Operate equipment and assist in maintenance for low-complexity product lines
  • Prepare logistics reports and analyze performance metrics
  • Document all production data according to Good Documentation Practices
  • Train coworkers in correct processes and procedures
  • Assist with equipment shutdowns and processing nonconforming products
  • Clean and organize the work area before, during, and after production runs

Required skills

  • High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent
  • 2+ years of manufacturing experience, preferably in assembly of electromechanical parts
  • Detail orientation and time management skills
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams
  • Physical capability to move objects up to 50 pounds and wear PPE
