Overview

The Sr Assembler 1 position at bioMerieux involves performing assembly, refurbishment, subassembly, and testing of electrical and mechanical components to meet production schedules and quality standards. This role also includes mentoring and training of coworkers, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards, and participating in logistics management for efficient operations.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform medium complexity manufacturing tasks while ensuring compliance with quality standards.
  • Support logistics for production and repair, ensuring timely delivery of materials.
  • Contribute to inventory management to optimize stock replenishment.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Monitor production processes, maintaining quality control and safety compliance.
  • Operate equipment repair and conditioning for low-complexity product lines.
  • Document production data and address any arising issues.
  • Assist in set-up of production stations and maintain documentation accuracy.
  • Clean and organize work area before, during, and after production runs.
  • Train coworkers in correct processes and machine operations.
  • Assist with end-of-shift or end-of-day shutdown including equipment shutdown.

Required skills

  • 2+ years manufacturing experience preferred
