Role Summary: The Agent Carrier Specialist supports Challenger's freight agents by sourcing, developing, and managing high-quality carrier relationships. This role focuses heavily on carrier procurement, rate negotiation, capacity planning, and service execution. The Agent Carrier Specialist ensures loads are covered with reliable carriers at competitive rates while maintaining strong communication and operational accuracy. Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm Work Arrangement: On-site Position Type: Non-Union Employment Status: Permanent Compensation: Salary Range: $50,000 to $60,000 + up to 3% of margin based on book of business Work Location & Environment: 300 Maple Grove Road, Cambridge ON Office environment Key Accountabilities: In this role, you will: •Carrier Sourcing & Procurement Identify, vet, and onboard new carriers aligned with customer needs and lane requirements. Build and maintain a strong carrier network through daily outreach, relationship development, and proactive communication. Research market conditions, capacity trends, and pricing to support competitive quoting and load coverage. •Negotiation & Rate Management Negotiate rates with carriers to achieve optimal margins while maintaining service quality. Provide accurate, market-based pricing to agents to support quoting and customer bids. Track and report on rate trends and market shifts that may impact agent margins or carrier availability. •Load Coverage & Coordination Secure capacity for agent loads in accordance with service expectations and customer requirements. Communicate pickup and delivery information, verify carrier availability, and confirm all load details. Ensure carriers receive complete, accurate documentation, instructions, and updates. •Carrier Relationship Management Act as the main point of contact for assigned carriers, building long-term partnerships and ensuring consistent, high-quality service. Conduct proactive check-ins to maintain reliable coverage, service levels, and carrier loyalty. Assist
