Overview

CF Industries is seeking a Sr. Accountant for their Woodward, Oklahoma location, focused on preparing financial reports and ensuring compliance with internal controls. The role involves managing the financial close process, assisting with audits, and engaging in budgeting activities while promoting effective communication across departments.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare and input journal entries for monthly financial close
  • Generate month-end financial statements and key performance indicator reports
  • Assist with internal and external audits
  • Prepare yearly budget and conduct spare parts reviews
  • Conduct account reconciliations and balance sheet variance analysis
  • Enhance local financial and cost reporting
  • Implement departmental internal controls and correct deficiencies
  • Participate in goal setting and safety leadership activities

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent
  • 5-7 years of accounting experience with increasing responsibility
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
