Overview

Fire Safety and Protection (FSP) is seeking a Sprinkler Service Technician to join their team in Norcross, Georgia. This role involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of automatic sprinkler systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and delivering high-quality service to clients. Key responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications for sprinkler system installation.
  • Measure and cut pipes, installing them with various fittings and connectors.
  • Install valves, alarms, and other components of the sprinkler system.
  • Test systems for leaks and ensure proper functionality.
  • Perform routine maintenance and replace worn or damaged components.
  • Troubleshoot and repair sprinkler systems, recommending solutions for complex issues.
  • Communicate with customers to provide updates and resolve issues.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal codes and industry best practices.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and prepare reports as necessary.
  • Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.

Required skills

  • Experience in installation and maintenance of automatic sprinkler systems
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
  • Knowledge of piping, fittings, and connectors for sprinkler systems
  • Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail
  • Valid driver's license
  • Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work at heights
  • Completion of an apprenticeship program in sprinkler fitting or a related field preferred
