Overview

The Sprinkler Inspector at Fire Safety and Protection (FSP) is responsible for inspecting, testing, and maintaining fire sprinkler systems to ensure compliance with fire codes and standards. The role involves working closely with building owners and facility managers to protect lives and property through high-quality fire safety services.

Key responsibilities

  • Inspect and test fire sprinkler systems according to codes and standards
  • Identify deficiencies and recommend repairs or upgrades
  • Provide reports and documentation of inspection results
  • Work with technicians on timely and cost-effective repairs
  • Maintain compliance with regulations regarding water pressure and sprinkler coverage
  • Keep accurate records of inspections and maintenance
  • Train building owners and employees on fire sprinkler systems and emergency procedures
  • Investigate false alarms and develop reduction strategies
  • Stay updated on changes in fire codes and recommend system updates
  • Coordinate emergency response procedures with fire departments

Required skills
