Overview

The Sprinkler Inspector at Fire Safety and Protection (FSP) is responsible for inspecting, testing, and maintaining fire sprinkler systems to ensure compliance with fire codes. This role requires close collaboration with building owners, facility managers, and fire departments to safeguard properties against fire hazards.

Key responsibilities

  • Inspecting and testing fire sprinkler systems according to codes and standards
  • Identifying deficiencies and recommending repairs or upgrades
  • Providing inspection documentation to stakeholders
  • Coordinating repairs and upgrades with technicians
  • Ensuring compliance with regulations regarding water pressure and sprinkler coverage
  • Maintaining records of inspections and repair work
  • Training stakeholders on fire sprinkler systems and emergency procedures
  • Investigating false alarms and recommending prevention strategies
  • Staying updated on changes in fire codes and standards
  • Collaborating with fire departments for emergency response
