Overview

Fire Safety and Protection is seeking a Sprinkler Helper to join their team in the Springfield area of Western Massachusetts. This role involves working alongside a Sprinkler Fitter to assist with the installation and service of fire suppression and safety systems. Ideal candidates will have a strong desire to learn and be customer-focused, contributing to the delivery of high-quality fire safety solutions.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist Fitter on installation and service jobs at various job sites
  • Interact with customers daily
  • Follow safety rules and requirements
  • Perform additional duties as required

Required skills

  • 0-1 year of experience
  • Excellent administrative, organizational, and computer skills
  • Good mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to adapt to changing needs and provide excellent customer service
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to transport equipment and tools weighing up to 40 lbs
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record
  • Capable of performing physical labor and working in difficult positions
  • Ability to read and understand construction blueprints
