Overview

Fire Safety and Protection is seeking a skilled Sprinkler Fitter to join their team in the Springfield area of Massachusetts. This role involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of automatic sprinkler systems, ensuring compliance with safety codes and regulations. The ideal candidate will be able to work both independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong customer service skills and a commitment to safety.

Key responsibilities

  • Reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics for sprinkler system installation
  • Measuring and cutting pipes, and installing them with fittings and connectors
  • Installing valves, alarms, and other system components
  • Testing systems for leaks and ensuring proper functionality
  • Performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting sprinkler systems
  • Communicating with customers to provide updates and resolve issues
  • Maintaining accurate records of work performed
  • Ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulations

Required skills
