Overview

The Sports Immigration Paralegal will assist attorneys in managing immigration cases for professional athletes, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and deadlines. This role supports the immigration team in preparing documentation, conducting research, and liaising with clients. Client Details This mid-sized firm has offices across the US and about 200 attorneys total. They're headquarted in NY and known for their work in immigration, litigation, corporate and finance, and entertainment. Description Prepare and file immigration petitions and applications, including O-1, P-1, and related visa types. Conduct legal research to support case preparation and strategy development. Draft legal documents, including correspondence and case summaries. Coordinate with clients and attorneys to gather necessary case information. Maintain accurate case files and ensure compliance with deadlines. Track and monitor case progress, providing regular updates to attorneys and clients. Assist in responding to government inquiries and requests for additional evidence. Stay updated on immigration regulations and policies relevant to professional athletes. Profile A successful Sports Immigration Paralegal should have: a Bachelor's degree. 2+ years of experience with immigration law, particularly O-1 and P-1 visas. Experience with consular processing strongly preferred. Strong organizational and time management skills. Attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation. Effective communication skills for client and attorney interactions. Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Familiarity with legal research tools and case management software. Job Offer Competitive salary ranging from $75,000 to $90,000 USD. Comprehensive benefits package.
