Overview

The City of Kettering is seeking a Part-time Sports Activities Coordinator to join their Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Arts team. This role involves assisting in the planning, development, and execution of various sports programs to serve the local community while gaining valuable experience and leadership skills.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist in planning and executing comprehensive sports programs, including leagues, programs, and camps
  • Supervise the work of others involved in sports activities
  • Communicate effectively with City personnel, the public, and organized sports groups
  • Promote and organize various sports programs
  • Monitor and report on the progress of planned programs

Required skills

  • Knowledge of sports program development and organization
  • Experience supervising youth or adult sports leagues
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to plan and organize work
  • Knowledge of current sports techniques, materials, equipment, and safety precautions
