Overview

The Speech Pathologist at L.E. Cox Medical Centers will work in the Outpatient Neuro Therapy unit, focusing on helping individuals regain function and independence after neurological injuries. This role involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating various speech and communication disorders, while collaborating with a supportive team dedicated to patient-centered care.

Key responsibilities

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and swallowing disorders
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for various communication issues
  • Collaborate with a patient-focused team
  • Support patients in regaining function and independence after neurological injuries

Required skills

  • Master's Degree in Speech Pathology/Communicative Disorders and Sciences
  • License or Provisional License in Speech Language Pathology in Missouri
  • Good clinical expertise and human relations skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
  • Experience in hospital/healthcare setting preferred
