Join us in our mission to improve health and improve lives.PAML a Labcorp company is seeking a Specimen Processing Team Lead to join our team in Tukwila, WAWork Schedule: Monday - Friday 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm overtime and rotating weekends may be requiredJob Responsibilities:Assist in the oversight of the day to day operations of the accessioning departmentHelp lead the team in their daily processes and proceduresAssist with preparation of laboratory specimens for analysis and testingOversee routing of specimens to their respective prep areasEncourage process improvements and best practicesPerform quality assurance checks to ensure efficiency and accuracyResolve any production errors as requested by managementResearch and resolve any production errors while escalating when necessaryEngage in continuous process and service level improvementsPerform quality assurance checks to ensure efficiency and accuracyResponsible for enforcing and managing policies and proceduresPerform administrative duties as neededMinimum Qualifications:High school diploma or GED1 year or more experience in a clinical laboratory or Hospital settingPreferred Qualifications:Associate's degree1 year or more experience in AP or Histology specimen handling6 months or more experience leading a teamAdditional Job Standards:Proficient computer and typing skillsAble to pass a standardized color blindness testComfortable handling human biological specimens including blood, urine and tissue samplesAbility to lift up to 30lbs, work in protective equipment and sit/stand for long periods of timeStrong eye hand coordination in order to accurately identify specimens by touch and sightFamiliarity with laboratory operations as well as policies and proceduresExcellent communication skills; both written and verbalHigh level of attention to detail with strong organizational and prioritization skillsStrong critical thinking skills with the ability to make decisions in a fast paced environmentAre you organized, accountable, and have always gone the extra mile to make sure things are done right? The Lead will support daily accessioning operations by guiding team workflows, overseeing specimen preparation and routing and ensuring adherence to established procedures.This role performs quality assurance checks, resolves production issues, and promotes continuous process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.Additionally, the Team Lead enforces policies, supports administrative tasks, and collaborates with management to maintain effective and compliant operations.Pay Range: $24.38 - $33.08 per hourPlus Shift 2 DifferentialAll job offers will be based on a candidate's skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
