Job Description

Overview

As a Specialty Pharmacy Liaison with UnitedHealth Group's CPS Solutions, you will engage directly with patients to coordinate pharmacy services and enhance patient outcomes. This role involves processing prior authorizations, assisting with financial aid, and updating clinical data while providing support to patients through effective communication and follow-up.

Key responsibilities

  • Explain the benefits of specialty pharmacy services to patients
  • Assist with enrolling patients into the specialty pharmacy program
  • Complete benefits investigations and prior authorizations
  • Coordinate with pharmacy team members for timely processing of patient orders
  • Provide direct patient support through outbound calls and inbound inquiries
  • Route clinical questions to appropriate clinicians

Required skills

  • Active Pharmacy Technician license in Wisconsin
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification (e.g., PTCB or ExCPhT)
  • Experience as a Pharmacy Technician
  • Knowledge of medication regimens and managed care practices
  • Proficient in pharmacy systems and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
