Why you'll love this job The Specialist/Senior Specialist of Corporate Communications is part of American's Global Engagement team, a dynamic and collaborative group that helps shape the company's actions, drives engagement with internal and external stakeholders, and builds and protects the airline's brand and reputation. Specifically, this position supports our corporate communications work as well as key initiatives across American's Customer Experience (CX), Digital Customer Experience (Digital CX) and Sales organizations. Management will modify the job or require other tasks be performed whenever it is deemed appropriate to do so, observing, of course, any legal obligations including any collective bargaining obligations.Support the Corporate Communications team in developing and delivering complex messages clearly and concisely for team members and external audiences. This includes translating DCX's digital product enhancements, CX's onboard and product improvements (such as Wi Fi upgrades and interior retrofit programs), and Sales' commercial initiatives into compelling narratives that help stakeholders understand how these efforts improve the customer experience and drive business performance.Build strong fluency in American's digital ecosystem, customer experience strategy (including Wi Fi, interiors, and onboard product), and commercial sales channels to ensure communications are accurate, timely, and strategically aligned.Develop compelling communications plans and business education campaigns to help American's stakeholders understand important business decisions.Partner closely with DCX to communicate digital roadmap milestones, with CX to highlight product investments and customer facing improvements, and with Sales to articulate commercial strategy, partner value propositions, and revenue driving programs.Work to educate media on American, keeping all key stakeholders informed and updated along the way. Develop and maintain important relationships with key reporters, handling media on site at events and acting as a company spokesperson.Provide subject matter support for media inquiries related to digital products, onboard experience upgrades, cabin retrofits, connectivity improvements, and commercial partnerships.Develop and execute communications strategies around sensitive and fast-moving issues with tight deadlines. Work on real-time business issues with American's leadership team and drive the company's positioning.This includes issues and opportunities related to digital performance, customer facing technology, and commercial developments that impact corporate clients and agency partners.Develop an in-depth understanding of American's operations and business practices and the broader airline industry.Uphold the integrity of the Global Engagement team by developing and maintaining strong relationships with leaders across the company. This includes close collaboration with leaders in CX, Digital CX, and Sales to ensure communications reflect organizational priorities and support enterprise-wide goals.Provide support and content for other company channels as needed.Ability to travel 25% of the time All you'll need for success Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job ExperienceBachelor's degree or equivalent experience/training.3 years of relevant work experience in communications or
