Job Title: Specialist, Systems Engineering Job Code: 40676 Job Location: Rochester, NY Job Schedule: 9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days - totaling 80 hours worked, and have every other Friday off Job Description: L3Harris is seeking Systems Integration & Test engineers in Rochester NY to work on a dynamic team to develop EO/IR solutions. They will have SI&T Engineering responsibilities consisting of the development, integration & test of electro-optic systems for airborne and ground surveillance. Candidate will work closely with cross functional members of in engineering, manufacturing, & program management to design, develop & build high performance systems. Essential Functions: Develop system integration concepts & test plan approach Ensure system requirements are met and evaluate performance measures Perform system and subsystem integration, technical risk assessment, technical planning, verification and validation, and supportability analyses Design, develop, and release custom test equipment (HW and SW) Coordinate with Operations for production STE/ATE requirements, automation, and user interface Develop custom test equipment procedures and instructions Manage upgrades to STE for obsolescence / enhancements Maintain library of preferred test equipment / components and common architecture standards Design Qualification program: plans, procedures, and test equipment Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience. Preferred Additional Skills: MBSE (Model Based Systems Engineering) DOORS, Jama, and Cameo experience Software development for test applications (C/C++, Python, LabView, etc.) System modeling using Matlab/Simulink Video transport and encoding (H.264, MISB and SMPTE standards) Understanding of defense products for the environments and platforms L3Harris supports Ability to effectively plan and organize projects and manage priorities Excellent organization and multi-tasking abilities with the ability to resolve conflicting priorities In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New York state $80,500 - $149,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
