Overview

The University of California Agriculture and Natural Resources is seeking a Professor of Cooperative Extension specializing in Groundwater Quantity and Quality. This role, based at the West Side Research and Extension Center in Five Points, California, focuses on addressing challenges related to drought and climate change through innovative research and outreach programs aimed at sustainable groundwater management.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a collaborative research, education, and outreach program for sustainable groundwater use and quality.
  • Conduct applied research on subsurface hydrology, groundwater quality, and agricultural drainage management.
  • Design conjunctive use scenarios for sustainable farming and evaluate impacts of climate change on groundwater.
  • Extend knowledge through publications, workshops, and stakeholder engagement.
