Description: Vivalon is looking for a Special Needs Attendant for Marin Routes! Vivalon is a Marin-based non-profit serving the community for 70 years and has been recognized 8 times as a "Best Place's to Work" in the North Bay, and our most recent 2025 award as "Best Social Organization" from the Marin Independent Journal. The attendant performs a variety of tasks to support the driver in providing safe and proper transportation for our adult clients with disabilities. We provide full training and an excellent team-oriented work environment. We offer a comprehensive benefits package beginning the first of the month following one full month of employment that includes medical, dental, vision, chiropractic, life, retirement, paid time off, holidays, and more. This job is a full-time position, Monday through Friday working approximately 6-hour days (split shifts).Starting pay is $23.00 per hour. Successful candidates will be able to: Supervise and assist clients in transit.Assist the driver in the proper loading and unloading of passengers.Know the appropriate use of securing devices for safety restraints, wheelchairs, and seat belts.Demonstrate understanding and empathy for persons with disabilities.Enjoy working with people of all ages and be sensitive to their needs.Display professional behavior when working with clients, co-workers, and community members.Follow all health and safety rules, policies, and procedures.Report any client concerns to the driver and the appropriate management staff.This Safety Sensitive position requires the ability to pass a background check.
