Job DescriptionJob DescriptionHelp Students Reach Their PotentialTX-STAR Speech Language Services collaborates with school districts across Texas to provide individualized educational support for students with a broad range of learning needs. We are currently seeking Certified Special Education Teachers for school-based opportunities in El Paso and surrounding communities.These positions are a strong fit for educators who believe in inclusive learning and want to help students achieve meaningful academic, social, and personal growth through specialized instruction.Your Role and ResponsibilitiesAs a Special Education Teacher, you will develop and deliver individualized instruction while partnering with campus teams and families to address each student's unique educational needs.In this role, you will:Create, implement, and oversee Individualized Education Programs in accordance with student needs and required timelinesDeliver specialized instruction based on students' abilities, learning profiles, and academic goalsAdjust curriculum, assignments, instructional materials, and teaching methods to improve access and engagementUse assessment results, classroom observations, and progress data to inform instructional decisionsRevise lessons, interventions, and supports according to student performance and changing needsEncourage students' academic achievement, social development, emotional growth, and independenceIntegrate assistive technology, visual supports, and other instructional resources when appropriateWork closely with general education teachers, related-service providers, campus personnel, and familiesParticipate in ARD and IEP meetings and contribute to the development and review of measurable goalsMaintain accurate progress reports, service records, and required special education documentationQualifications for This PositionBachelor's degree in Special Education, Education, or a related fieldCurrent and valid Texas Special Education teaching certificationStrong knowledge of IEP procedures, differentiated instruction, and school-based special education practicesAbility to collaborate effectively with educators, administrators, families, and multidisciplinary teamsStrong classroom management, communication, organization, and time-management skillsMaster's degree is preferredPrevious experience working in a school-based special education setting is a plusWork Setting and Scheduling OptionsOn-site, school-based assignments in El Paso and nearby communitiesOpportunities to support students from prekindergarten through high schoolFlexible placement options, including:Full-time assignmentsPart-time schedulesPlacements coordinated according to your certification, qualifications, preferences, and current district needsWhat You Can Expect from TX-STARCompetitive compensation based on relevant experienceFlexible scheduling opportunitiesReliable bi-weekly payAccess to medical, dental, and vision insurance optionsA supportive and people-focused workplace cultureOngoing guidance from experienced program staffEmployee referral bonus opportunitiesProfessional learning and career development resourcesAccess to an established network of school district partnerships throughout TexasLearn More About TX-STARSince 2010, TX-STAR Speech Language Services has helped school districts throughout Texas connect with qualified special education and student-support professionals.
