Description: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our elementary (3rd-5th) team for the 2026-27 school year. We currently have an upper elementary (3-5) opening, but may be adding to the special education team in middle and early childhood as well. Starting salary for certified educators is $60,000.This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners with diverse needs, fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the unique learning styles and abilities of each student.- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure comprehensive student support.- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, adjusting instructional strategies as needed.- Create a positive, engaging, and safe classroom environment that promotes social-emotional development.- Maintain accurate records of student performance and compliance with district and state regulations.
