Overview

Premier Charter School is looking for a dedicated Special Education Teacher for grades 3-5 to join their team for the 2026-27 school year. This role offers the opportunity to create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment, focusing on the unique needs of students with diverse learning challenges.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet unique learning styles and abilities
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff for comprehensive student support
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly and adjust instructional strategies as needed
  • Create a positive and engaging classroom environment that promotes social-emotional development
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and compliance with regulations

Required skills

  • Missouri Certification in Special Education
  • Strong command of the English language
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
