Overview

The Sous Chef at Aramark will coordinate, plan, participate, and supervise the production and presentation of food at Fordham Lincoln Center. They will ensure quality standards in food preparation and safety while managing inventory and leading the kitchen team.

Key responsibilities

  • Supervise and participate in food production and presentation.
  • Maintain sufficient inventory to meet daily needs and assist with storage.
  • Ensure proper handling of food products and equipment for safety and standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and high sanitation standards.
  • Interview, train, and develop kitchen staff while fostering open communication.

Required skills

  • Two to three years of experience in a culinary position
  • Culinary degree preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Experience in team management and problem-solving
  • Excellent communication skills
