Job Description

Overview

The Sourcing Project Manager II Automation at bioMérieux will lead sourcing activities and supplier management for assigned indirect categories, focusing on capacity, cost optimization, and risk mitigation. This role involves close collaboration with Engineering and Program Management, supporting the company's manufacturing objectives while driving process improvements and mentorship within the team.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate sourcing and purchasing activities related to allocated projects
  • Develop and maintain project plans with Program Management and Engineering
  • Ensure timelines, quality, and cost objectives are met with vendors
  • Shape and lead negotiation strategies to optimize cost and supply capacity
  • Oversee contract governance and cultivate high-performing supplier relationships
  • Propose and implement risk mitigation plans and identify cost avoidance opportunities
  • Drive supplier engagement in sustainability programs
  • Resolve disputes and recommend solutions for problem identification
  • Research and prepare high-quality commodity strategies for ProCo
  • Perform all work in compliance with company quality procedures

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Purchasing/Procurement
  • 7+ years in sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiation
  • Proven track record in strong supplier management
  • Expertise in the end-to-end contract lifecycle
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Experience with ISO standard supplier auditing
  • Knowledge of indirect procurement and medical/life sciences industry
  • Intermediate time management skills
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (20% total)
