Pathways Vermont Soteria House Resident Support Staff - Third Shift (Overnight) - $2000 Hiring Bonus The Company: Pathways Vermont provides community-based mental health services and collaborative learning that centers people as the experts of their own lives. The Program: Soteria Vermont is a five-bed hospitalization prevention residence for individuals experiencing an early episode of psychosis who wish to avoid or minimize their exposure to medications and/or clinical interventions. Soteria House operates as a Therapeutic Community Residence (TCR). Services are funded by the Vermont Department of Mental Health (DMH) and TCR compliance is overseen by the Department of Aging and Independent Living (DAIL). Soteria is a unionized program at Pathways Vermont and the Resident Support Staff role is a unionized position within Soteria Vermont. The Role: The Resident Support Staff is a member of the Soteria community which focuses on essential house functions and being with residents. Available Positions: 1 Location: In person (Burlington VT) Schedule: Friday 11pm - Saturday 8am, Saturday 11pm - Sunday 8am, Sunday 11pm - Monday 8am, Monday 11pm-Tuesday 8am; Weekly virtual team meeting on Thursdays 5:15pm - 6:15pm Reports to: Third Shift Supervisor Compensation: $20.50 per hour Application Requirements: A Cover Letter and Resume are required with your application. Responsibilities: Be with residents: non-judgmental, non-directive approach of providing support and availability Engage in relationship building/rapport building with residents and provide service from a "choice" perspective as well as client centered, harm reduction, and strengths based approaches; including but not limited to social skills, wellness, assistance with any medications and housekeeping Attend regularly scheduled meetings as assigned One supervision meeting per week/ additionally as needed One team meeting per week One All-Staff meeting per month One Co-reflection per month Complete 12 hours of TCR (therapeutic community residence) training annually Maintain thorough understanding of Soteria policies and procedures, including emergency protocol Communicate to residents programmatic rules and expectations Collaborate with residents in the formulation and review of a comprehensive care plan to be updated on a regular basis, including but not limited to assistance in computing expenses and preparing budgets Maintain records, compile reports and complete other program documentation (including care notes, statistics, letters, petty cash receipts, etc.) Coordinate, facilitate and monitor referrals to community services and activities, and advocate for resident participation Regular household cleaning and maintenance Attendance at the annual All Staff and Programmatic Retreats is an expectation of employment with Pathways Vermont, unless excused by the employee's manager/HR. Retreats are held on workdays, during normal working hours, and are fully paid. Other duties as assigned Qualifications: Valid driver's license and ability to drive vehicle required Excellent communication, writing, and computer skills Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to form relationships with marginalized individuals Sound judgment and good problem solving skills including assessing risk factors Ability to structure time, develop work priorities independently, and meet program expectations with regard to documentation Ability to work weekends Ability to work effectively as part of the team Ability to share one's own personal transformative life expe
