Overview

UCHealth is seeking a Sonographer to join their OBGYN department in Littleton, Colorado. This part-time position involves performing sonography, preparing patients, and ensuring the quality of imaging results while adhering to organizational standards and practices.

Key responsibilities

  • Review patient history and physician's orders
  • Educate patients about procedures and exams
  • Prepare and administer contrast media and medications as needed
  • Monitor patient condition and report changes
  • Prepare equipment and supplies for imaging procedures
  • Select exposure factors and imaging parameters
  • Implement safety standards and conduct quality control procedures
  • Troubleshoot and report equipment malfunctions
  • Position patients and perform imaging procedures
  • Analyze imaging results and resolve quality issues
  • Enter and report scan results

Required skills

  • Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technologist or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer program
  • Registered as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS), Vascular Technologist (RVT), or Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (R
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification
  • Critical thinking and decisive judgment skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
