Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob Title: SolderType of Role: Contract to hireShift / Hours: 1st Shift, 6am- 2:30pm, Monday-Friday /2nd Shift 2:00pm to 10:30pm Monday- FridayLocation: Carrollton, TXHourly Range: $16.00/hr to $20.00/hr (Depending on experience)Job Purpose: Assemble/build and inspect complex electrical/electronic subassemblies or assembliesNature of Duties:Performs bench-type processes to complete electrical/electronic assemblies and subassemblies, using hand tools and equipment such as soldering iron, wire-cutters, electronic and pneumatic tooling.Follows established methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering and cable harnessing on assembly units.Verifies completed assembly against specification.Makes setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications.Applies skills in procedures, techniques, tools, materials and/or equipment, as appropriate to area of specialization.Performs other duties as assigned.Education and Experience:High School Diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum 1-2 years experienceExperience with assembly and measuring tools preferredAble to interpret visual aidsMust demonstrate ability to solder using SN96 or HMPBGA soldering experience a plusManual dexterity and hand-eye coordination is necessaryMust be able to work in a fast-pace environment with a sense of urgencyBe able to sit for extended periods during the 8 hour shiftMust be able to visually inspect small items for accuracyMust be able to handle small partsMust have manual dexterityAble to read and follow detailed instructionsAble to work effectively in a team environmentExcellent punctuality, good attendance, and reliability requiredAdherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear)Prior Sanmina experience and systems knowledge is preferredPhysical Demands:Required to sit and/or stand for extended periods in a manufacturing environment; talk and hear in person; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision and the ability to adjust focus. Occasionally may need to exert up to 30 pounds of force to lift, carry, push and pull or otherwise move objects.
