Overview

SolarTech Energy is seeking experienced Solar (PV) Foremen and Installers for projects in the San Diego area. Candidates will be part of a team dedicated to installing and maintaining residential solar panel systems, contributing to the company's mission of providing accessible clean energy solutions.

Key responsibilities

  • Install photovoltaic (PV) solar panels, racking systems, and inverters on residential rooftops
  • Assist with site preparation, measuring, layout, and ensuring safe work conditions
  • Identify and address electrical, environmental, and safety hazards on-site
  • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on installed solar systems
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and update job status as needed
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and other safety standards
  • Collaborate with project management and warehouse teams
  • Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients and team members
  • Attend ongoing training sessions to stay current on installation methods and safety procedures

Required skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or relevant certifications a plus
  • 2+ years of experience in solar panel installation required
  • Familiarity with hand and power tools, conduit bending, and safe ladder use
  • Ability to work at heights and in various outdoor conditions
  • Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, and work on your feet for extended periods
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and clean driving record required
  • OSHA 10-Hour Construction Certificate preferred
  • Strong attention to detail, safety, and quality workmanship
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
