Overview

SolarTech Energy is seeking a Solar (PV) Foreman to lead teams in the installation, maintenance, and servicing of residential solar panel systems in the Los Angeles area. The role requires strong leadership skills, safety compliance, and a commitment to delivering quality customer service in a supportive team environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Install photovoltaic (PV) solar panels, racking systems, and inverters on residential rooftops
  • Assist with site preparation and ensure safe work conditions
  • Identify and address electrical, environmental, and safety hazards on-site
  • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on installed solar systems
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and update job status
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and local safety standards
  • Collaborate with project management and warehouse teams for materials and scheduling
  • Provide excellent customer service and communication with clients and team members
  • Attend ongoing training sessions on installation methods and safety procedures

Required skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in solar panel installation
  • Familiarity with hand and power tools, conduit bending, and safe ladder use
  • Ability to work at heights and in various outdoor conditions
  • Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • OSHA 10-Hour Construction Certificate preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
