Job Description

Overview

Raytheon is seeking a Software Security Lead to work within the Software Security Sensors and Effectors Department in Tucson, AZ. The role involves ensuring software security is integrated into program processes, collaborating with various stakeholders, and implementing secure coding practices. Due to the security clearance requirement, this is an onsite position.

Key responsibilities

  • Act as the Technical Lead and possibly the Agile Product Owner for the Software Security Team
  • Ensure compliance with System Security requirements
  • Adopt and implement secure coding standards for programming languages used
  • Drive off-nominal testing to maintain software security
  • Conduct software vulnerability risk assessments on reused code and deliver Software Bill of Materials (SBOM)
  • Apply secure coding principles to the design and development of hardened software applications

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in STEM and 8 years of related experience
  • Experience in object-oriented software design and embedded development using C and C++
  • Experience with Xilinx UltraScale+ MPSoC, Versal, or similar Embedded Processors
  • Familiarity with embedded OS like VxWorks and Embedded Linux
  • Knowledge of software security and cryptographic algorithms
  • Understanding of secure coding principles and best practices
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance
  • Experience with validation and verification of software applications
  • Knowledge of Agile and DevSecOps environments
  • Experience with software configuration management and bug tracking tools
  • Familiarity with Python/Perl and modern computer architecture
