Job Description

Overview

As a Software Development Engineer II on the SKG Team at Amazon Data Services, you'll be part of a dynamic group responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of AWS global infrastructure. Your role will focus on building intelligent systems to improve how data center engineers interact with alarm data, significantly reducing manual effort through automation and generative AI applications.

Key responsibilities

  • Build services in the Data Center Alarming Platform to turn alarm data into actionable signals.
  • Create integrations with Amazon Bedrock for alarm summarization and triage assistance.
  • Contribute to the Automated Triage and Ticketing Engine.
  • Define infrastructure as code using AWS CDK.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide feedback on proposals.
  • Mentor junior developers and help them grow.

Required skills

  • 3+ years of software development experience
  • 2+ years of design or architecture experience
  • 1+ years of experience with large-scale, distributed software applications
  • Proficiency in TypeScript and Python
  • Experience with AWS services including Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS
  • Knowledge of CI/CD practices
  • Object-Oriented Design experience
