Overview

As a Software Development Engineer in the DcsHostMonitoring team at Amazon Data Services, you will contribute to the infrastructure that supports AWS global operations. This role involves collaborating with a diverse team to enhance cloud services and ensure the efficient monitoring of data centers through effective alarm systems and data processing.

Key responsibilities

  • Design and develop large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications.
  • Collaborate with internal customers, including data center operations engineers, for feedback and system improvements.
  • Participate in the full software development life cycle, including coding standards and code reviews.

Required skills

  • 3+ years of professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of experience in system design or architecture
  • 1+ year of experience with C#, C++, Java, or Perl
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Experience in build processes, testing, and operations
