Overview

Join TeamHealth as a fully licensed counselor in the Corpus Christi, Texas area, focusing on providing expert and compassionate care to older adults in long-term care facilities. This role allows for clinical autonomy and offers competitive compensation with no cap on productivity income potential.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations
  • Deliver evidence-based individual therapy and behavioral interventions
  • Develop and collaborate on individualized treatment plans with care teams
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment as clinically indicated
  • Support the overall mental well-being and quality of life of residents
  • Partner with nursing staff, social workers, and facility leadership on care coordination

Required skills

  • Master's Degree in counseling or therapy from an accredited program
  • Active, unrestricted license in the state of Texas (LMHC, LPC, LMFT, LCSW)
  • Ability to practice independently and bill insurance/Medicare without supervision
  • Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic intervention skills
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and interdisciplinary collaboration abilities
  • Genuine passion for working with older adults and long-term care populations
  • Prior experience in counseling is a strong advantage
