POSITION OVERVIEWSid Jacobson JCC is seeking creative and strategic freelance social media professionals to support a wide range of organizational marketing, communications, and engagement initiatives across multiple departments, audiences, and platforms.These role(s) may support both day-to-day social media content needs and larger campaign-based initiatives. Projects may range from individual content assignments to comprehensive social campaigns tied to events, programs, fundraising efforts, community engagement, and organizational storytelling.The ideal candidate possesses strong writing and visual storytelling skills, understands evolving social media trends and platform best practices, and can create content that is engaging, mission-aligned, and audience-focused. Candidates should be collaborative, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Develops, writes, edits, schedules, and publishes social media content across various platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other emerging channels as neededCreates engaging and platform-appropriate copy, captions, graphics, reels, stories, and other digital content that align with organizational voice and brand standardsSupports social media coverage for programs, events, campaigns, community initiatives, and organizational announcementsCollaborates with the marketing team to support broader campaign goals, messaging strategies, and audience engagement initiativesAssists in developing and executing social media campaigns from concept through launch and post-campaign reportingMonitors social media trends, platform updates, audience behavior, and best practices to inform content strategy and engagement opportunitiesEngages with online audiences in a timely, professional, and brand-aligned manner when applicableCaptures photo/video content as needed for real-time or future social media useReviews content for accuracy, consistency, quality, and alignment with organizational messaging and brandingTracks and reports on social media performance metrics and provides recommendations for optimization and growthAvailability for daytime, evening, and weekend assignments, including live event coverage and time-sensitive content needs, is requiredHourly Rate: $30-50/hr, dependent on experience, project scope, and skill levelQUALIFICATIONSProven experience managing social media content and campaigns across multiple platformsStrong writing, editing, communication, and visual storytelling skillsUnderstanding of platform-specific trends, analytics, engagement strategies, and content best practicesExperience using social media management and scheduling tools preferredBasic graphic design and/or video editing skills strongly preferredAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams and stakeholdersExperience working with nonprofit, educational, cultural, healthcare, or mission-driven organizations is a plusCompensation details: 30-50 Hourly WagePIb797c060aa5e-4910
