Overview

FM is seeking a Social Media Director to lead its global social media strategy and execution across various platforms. The role focuses on elevating FM's B2B presence, enhancing thought leadership, and supporting business objectives through effective storytelling and audience engagement.

Key responsibilities

  • Own and evolve FM's global social media strategy aligned to business objectives.
  • Define content and channel strategy to advance FM's leadership narrative.
  • Lead global platform expansion and governance.
  • Establish an experimentation roadmap for new platforms and formats.
  • Build and run an executive social media program to amplify leadership voices.
  • Partner with marketing teams to craft narratives and establish authentic content.
  • Manage global social content operating model, including editorial planning and community engagement.
  • Improve social media contribution to B2B pipeline and lead generation.
  • Establish governance frameworks for social media operations.
  • Define KPIs and reporting to link social outcomes to business value.
  • Utilize AI tools for research, content ideation, and optimization.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing social media team.

Required skills

  • 10+ years of experience in social media strategy and execution
  • Expertise in B2B social media and thought leadership
  • Experience with both organic and paid social media
  • Fluency with modern AI tools for marketing and content
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret performance data
  • People and agency management experience
  • Ability to interact with and brief senior leadership
  • LinkedIn expertise (organic and paid)
