Overview

Dynomax Inc. is looking for an experienced Small Parts Inspector to join their 2nd Shift team in Wheeling, Illinois. The role involves inspecting and testing materials and components for deviations from specifications using precision measuring instruments and handling miniature parts.

Key responsibilities

  • Inspect or test materials and machined components for deviations from specifications
  • Use precision measuring instruments and complex test equipment to record inspection results
  • Measure materials and dimensions of components to verify conformance
  • Notify supervisors about rejected products and materials not meeting specifications
  • Record inspection data and mark items with acceptance or rejection status
  • Interpret blueprints, models, manuals, and other materials to determine specifications and testing procedures

Required skills

  • 3+ years manufacturing experience as a Machine Operator or Inspector
  • High School degree or equivalent
  • Ability to learn to use measuring equipment like micrometers and calipers
  • Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work at a microscope for extended periods
  • Ability to handle miniature and nano-sized parts with small hand tools
  • Computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office
