Overview

Baker Manufacturing Company LLC is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Slotter Machine Operator for the 2nd shift in Manhattan, Kansas. The role involves safely setting up and operating PVC slotting equipment to produce high-quality parts that meet precise specifications, while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Set up and adjust slotting blades, guides, clamps, and feed mechanisms according to production specifications
  • Configure machine settings based on work orders and production drawings
  • Operate PVC slotting machinery safely and efficiently
  • Perform quality inspections using calipers, gauges, and measuring tools
  • Load PVC materials into the machine and maintain consistent material flow
  • Accurately record production counts, scrap, completed batches, and inspection results
  • Identify and report defects in produced parts
  • Perform routine machine cleaning and basic maintenance
  • Report mechanical issues or equipment concerns to leadership
  • Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment
